Counselling

‘A parent should never have to bury their child’.

A statement often made by parents and non-parents alike. The unfortunate reality is that sometimes, a parent must go through the heartache of saying goodbye and sending their child into the heavens. Such pain can send parents and families into a spiral of depression and it is important that they can access professional bereavement counsellors to help them cope with their grief in a healthy and productive manner.

The Scarlett May Foundation provides financial support for bereavement counselling to parents and families who have suffered the loss of a child. Through a team of dedicated counsellors and social workers, parents can access the assistance they need in a safe space.
